17. Committees of Council
-
- The council may establish any committee. including an investigating
committee, to assist it in the performance of its functions and may appoint any person as
a member of that committee.
- If the council does not designate a chairperson for a committee, the committee
may, at its first meeting, elect a chairperson from among its members.
- The council may at any time dissolve or reconstitute a committee.
- Section 9 may, with the necessary changes, apply in respect of a committee of the
council.
